It is with regret that we had been forced, for reasons beyond our control, to cancel the Festival in 2008. We now ask that you join us in promoting the Festival in 2009. The festival will be held the weekend of June 19, 20, and 21 in 2009 - the location and workshops to be determined. Having a whole year to plan the Festival will also allow us to do something else that we didn't have time for in 2008; allowing Taijiquan Enthusiasts to vote for which workshop leaders they would like see at next year's Festival. In a few months, browse our website again to see where you can enter a nomination and/or cast your ballot. (Anyone who had submitted a workshop for the 2008 Festival will automatically be nominated for a workshop next year.) We can also follow through on our plans to recognize people by giving out Taijiquan Enthusiasts Choice Awards for Teachers and Students who have gone above and beyond the call of duty for the benefit of Taijiquan Enthusiasts everywhere - something that we had put on the back burner due to time constraints this year. We will also be planning a special recognition ceremony for the founders of the Taijiquan Enthusiasts Organization, including a memorial for the late David Chen, one of our most honored founders. If you want to be informed of the latest updates by email, please contact us and let us know. For more information on the festival browse this website.
